Having tackled Marlowe, Yeats, de la Barca and Bungeroth's own original verse drama, the company dives into the Bard's material for the first time, bringing together directors and actors from Mortal Folly Theatre, the Bent Quill Players, NYU, Pace and other institutions to mount their own imaginings of a theme Shakespeare did best: ultimate ruin. It's the moment that Hamlet chooses madness and revenge over suicide; the moment that King Richard gives up his crown; the moment that Katherine gets corralled. They all add up to spell destruction for the characters and cathartic delight for the audience. A wine and cheese reception will follow the performance; tickets include admission and one free drink. Wanna see me in a kick-butt scene for free? This Wednesday: 12:15-2:15 is our open-class at the Deena Levy Theater Studio, where anyone can come enjoy the fruits of our last three months of work.  The songbook is assembled, and old-school caroling will be done over the next few weeks by a merry band of Pirates of Penzance cast members and assorted others. Oh bliss! At the Landmark Loew's Theatre in Jersey City (JSQ) Saturday, December 11 6pm-7pm There will be 45 minutes of holiday music (we carolers) before the movie "Scrooge" is shown on the big screen. A live organ concert and a sing-along are scheduled. Monroe Center Hoboken (Rm C413) Saturday, December 18 and Sunday the 19th 3pm - 6pm The vision is as follows: we meander the halls of the Monroe Center caroling in the traditional way with a 4-5 song repertoire, and invite folks to join us for the group sing-along in the Theatre Company space. At 4 we hand out songbooks to the masses, and lead them in a group sing-along. Bring all percussion-type instruments! We are organizing with nursing homes to see if we can (from 5-6) sing for them (again, traditional caroling style) during their dinner hour...Stay tuned for details!
