A Festival of Fools is proud to present its first full-length original verse play, Impostor Striketh Back, written by Artistic Director Tim Bungeroth. Saturday, May 14 at 8pm Sunday, May 15 at 2pm Friday, May 20 at 8pm Saturday, May 21 at 8pm Center for Performance Research361 Manhattan AvenueWilliamsburg, Brooklyn Following the events of A Game Without A Name, the Indomitable Impostor (a primordial trickster spirit) somehow manages to escape his dark tower, and schemes his revenge on the gods that have enslaved him. Suddenly free, he sets out to accomplish the unthinkable: fool the all-knowing and alter the course of the universe. Along the way, however, his grand design begins to take unexpected turns, and the characters he creates to serve his darker purpose (two bumbling heralds, a teenage stoner, a pair of gunslingers, a bounty hunter, and a mystical knight) begin to rebel against their written destinies. Culminating in an epic struggle aboard the legendary Flying Dutchman, each party must come to grips with the origin of his creation, and the inevitability of his destruction.Tickets, $18: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/171253 "But make no damned mistake the end is nigh And crowns will come down crashing from the sky."
